Today, The Ministry of Mines and Energy issued notification to commence mining at Ansongo Manganese Mine.Approval was given by the Council of Ministers to proceed with the Convention for Ansongo Manganese deposit.
Mr Ron Slaughter, President commented: "We are very delighted to have received the Convention for the Ansongo manganese deposit project. We are now in discussions with finding a suitable project partner for logistic development. Our intentions will be to open the manganese mine end of 2008.
